Fruitland bounces back with third place finish at Treasure Valley Invatitional

Fruitland - Only 15 hours earlier in tournament action, the Fruitland baseball team was left searching for answers after suffering an 8-0 loss to Vale in semifnal round action of Treasure Valley Invitational Friday in Fruitland.

The Grizzlies rebounded in style with a 12-hit barrage in their 11-1 win over Burns Saturday in the third place game of the tournament.

“I thought we played better,” Fruitland head coach Russ Wright said. “We swung the bats a little better. Before the game we worked on some approach stuff and we took kids out and showed them what we should be doing compared to what we did the night before. We happened to get some timely hits sandwiched around a couple of walks.”
