Two Ontarians die in highway accident

Ontario — Two members of an Ontario family died Sunday morning when the vehicle they were traveling in rolled near Caldwell.

According to the  Idaho State Police, Georgina Tinoco, 18 and Aubre Garcia, 5 months old, both of Ontario, were ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The incident began when Jose Tinoco, 41, Ontario — who was driving a 1993 Chevy Suburban east on Interstate 84 — encountered icy conditions, that caused him to lose control of the vehicle. The suburban entered the median at milepost 30, near Caldwell, causing the vehicle to roll.

According to ISP, other passengers in the vehicle included Jose Tinoco Jr., 4, Marleen Tinoco, 15, Bianca Tinoco, 11, and Armandina Tinoco, 43, all of Ontario. Jose Tinoco Jr., Marleen Tinoco and Armandina Tinoco were transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, Boise, with non-life threatening injuries.

Jose Tinoco was also transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.

Bianca Tinoco was transported to Mercy Medical Center, Nampa according to ISP. Her injuries were also considered not life threatening.

It was unknown Sunday whether all the occupants in the Suburban were wearing seatbelts.
