Burns CPA earns key designation
Burns — George W. Wilber, CPA, of Oster Professional Group, CPA’s, Burns, OR, has achieved the prestigious designation, certified forensic accountant (Cr.FA), by the American Institute of Forensic Examiners Institute (ACFEI).
A forensic accountant is a professional investigator who uses accounting, auditing and research training to conduct financial examinations. Forensic accountants can uncover such crimes as forgery, embezzlement and improper business practices, and they are often called to testify in court about their findings.
The designation of certified forensic accountant (Cr.FA) identifies a professional’s high level of excellence, achievement and competence, and it confirms that the professional has made a commitment to providing reliable service and maintaining the highest of professional standards.
The ACFEI is the world’s largest forensic science association, and an important part of its mission is to recognize experience and continuing education of professionals who conduct forensic examinations.
The ACFEI is comprised of forensic professionals involved in such fields as medicine, psychology, criminology, toxicology, engineering, risk analysis and crime scene reconstruction, among many others.
ACFEI members include many of the most prominent forensic science professionals in the world.
