Local motel robbed at gunpoint

Ontario — The Ontario Police Department is currently investigating the armed robbery of a local motel this morning.
OPD Capt. Mark Alexander said a stocky approximately 5-foot-11 man, entered the Rodeway Inn, situated at 615 E. Idaho Ave., and demanded cash.
Alexander also said it was reported the robber was wearing a mask and had a gun. Police recovered a BB gun near the scene, which they believe was used in the robbery.
After taking the cash, Alexander said the robber is believed to have fled north, though police do not know if he continued to travel on foot or if he left in a vehicle.
He also said it is currently unknown if more individuals were outside to assist the robber in his getaway.
