Oregon Select Baseball hosting tryouts

Oregon Select Baseball, Oregon’s highly competitive statewide youth baseball program, will be holding its annual tryouts for its western and nationally competitive baseball teams at The Yard Baseball Academy situated at 5465 S.W. Western Ave., Suite H, in Beaverton July 11.
Oregon Select Baseball is looking for Oregon’s top baseball players who are between the ages of 8 and 15 on or before April 30, 2009, to represent the state of Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.

Tennis lessons offered by Ontario Parks and Recreation
Ontario
The Ontario Parks and Recreation Department will be offering two sessions of tennis lessons with dates starting July 6 through July 16 and July 27 through August 6. Each session is eight days (Monday through Thursday).
The cost for each session is $40, and participants will also need to bring a new can of tennis balls and a racket. For more information, contact the Ontario Parks and Recreation Department at (541) 889-7686.
OHS grapplers raising money

The Ontario High School wrestlers are currently looking for odd jobs, yard work, cleanup, etc., to do in exchange for a donation to OHS wrestling.
Interested individuals can request one or several boys to work, depending on the job. The suggested rate is $10 per hour, per athlete, though the donation amount can be adjusted based on the work. NFL flag football registration has begun

The Ontario Parks and Recreation Department is now taking registration for NFL Flag Football.
Boys and girls going into kindergarten through eighth grades as of fall of 2009 are eligible. The cost is $40, and this includes an NFL jersey the players can keep. For more information, call the Ontario Parks and Recreation Department, (541) 889-7686.
Donny Allen Memorial slated
Payette
The Donny Allen Memorial Golf Tournament will take place at 1 p.m. Friday at the Scotch Pines Golf Course in Payette. The event will feature two flights with both gross and net scores. The cost of the tourament is $25 per for Scotch Pine members. Non-members will have to pay an $18 green fee.
