ONTARIO — The Ontario Police Department is looking for information about a burglary that took place at a local business early Monday morning.
OPD Capt. Mark Alexander said, just after 4 a.m., police were notified a burglary occurred at Bellows Rent-All, 527 Sunset Drive, Ontario. He said a person who was staying on-site at the business woke up to the sound of a vehicle crashing through the fence. When the person went to see what happened, they discovered someone had gotten into the yard area and stole a 2003 brown Chevy pickup, tools and some rental equipment. The suspect or suspects then crashed the truck through the fence and left the area.
Alexander said at about 5:30 a.m., police received a call from a resident on Skylane Drive, which is just a few blocks away from where the burglary occurred, that someone was driving a pickup in circles in a field nearby.
When police arrived, the vehicle was abandoned, but it was the one reported stolen earlier, and officers also recovered some stolen property inside the truck.
Alexander asks that anyone with any information call OPD.
In other OPD news: OPD arrested an Ontario man after he fled the scene when an officer attempted to make a traffic stop just after midnight Monday in the 300 block of Southeast Sixth Avenue on a Dodge Caravan. The vehicle had a brake light out and the vehicle registration was expired, Alexander said. He said the driver of the vehicle exited it while it was still moving and took off on foot. The Oregon State Patrol and Malheur County Sheriff’s Office assisted in setting up a perimeter of the area, and the man was found hiding behind a residence in the 300 block of Southeast Seventh Avenue.
Police arrested Ty Sarazin, 22, Ontario, for attempting to elude a police officer, reckless endangerment of another person and criminal mischief in the second degree. He was also wanted for a probation violation warrant with the original charge of burglary.

And don't they use thermal imaging to find these boneheads when they are looking for a fleeing suspect? Kinda hard to hide when you appear as a bright white spot on a screen in a dark black, back yard.
Speaking of thermal imaging...oh wait I use LED's.....hi po-po,just keep driving by, lol. "
