Adult intermediate Band to begin rehearsals

An adult intermediate band will begin at 6 p.m. and run until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept, 8 at the Meyer-McLean Theatre on the campus of Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario. Any former musicians who would like to play again are welcome to join the band. For more information contact Matt Gilman at (541) 212-6045.

Junior Orchestra starts Sept. 14

The Junior Orchestra is led by Bob Armstrong and his assistant, Sarah Bowers and they are inviting anyone with one year of previous experience on a stringed instrument (no guitar) to join the ensemble. The Junior Orchestra has two concerts during the performance season. It will meet at 4:30 p.m until 5:30 p.m. on Monday’s on the TVCC campus in room PAC 10. Youth Orchestra and Adult intermediate Strings to resume rehearsals

The Treasure Valley Youth Orchestra will resume rehearsals at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept, 17 in the Meyer-McLean Theatre stage. Auditions are required by director Arturo Chavez. The ensemble formerly known as Adult Intermediate Strings has combined with the Youth Orchestra. For more information, call the TVCC Performing Arts office at (541) 881-8822, ext. 264.

Wind Symphony to resume rehearsals

The Wind Symphony plays advanced band music (no strings) for musicians looking for a challenge. Instructor permission is required for this ensemble and it will kick off its rehearsal and performance season Tuesday, Sept. 8. The Wind Symphony meets at 7:15 p.m until 8:45 p.m on Tuesday’s in the Meyer-Mclean Theatre. It has a four concert season during the academic year. The band is directed by Matt Gilman. Treasure Valley Chorale welcomes new voices

The Treasure Valley Chorale is looking for new voices and is encouraging any singer who would like to join to attend rehearsals which will begin at 7 p.m. on Tuesday Sept, 15 at TVCC in room PAC 10. The Chorale is conducted by TVCC director of voice, Rebecca Repolge. Music genre includes sacred, classical and pop style. The Chorale performs three concerts during the academic year.
