Two injured in Wednesday night crash

A one-vehicle accident resulted in serious injuries for two Valley County residents Jan. 6.
Idaho State Police Troopers and Payette County Sheriff Deputies responded to a collision late Wednesday night. At approximately 10:10 p.m., Kym Lamb, 27 and Sadie Lonkey, 23, Valley County, were traveling westbound on State Highway 52 at milepost 10, near New Plymouth, in a 1973 GMC pickup truck. The vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and collided with a power pole, the vehicle overturned.
Lamb and Lonkey were not wearing seat belts and received serious injuries. They were treated by Payette County Paramedics and transported to Holy Rosary Medical Center for treatment.
According to press release, the accident alcohol related. ISP Trooper Shawn Klitch said the investigation is ongoing by himself and ISP Collision Reconstruction Unit. The New Plymouth Quick Response Unit and New Plymouth Rural Fire Department also assisted.
Klitch will report the incident to Payette County Prosecutors.
